Why Fishing?
Fishing gives kids a unique opportunity to slow down, explore the outdoors, and build patience, confidence, and curiosity along the way. Our program provides a safe, hands on introduction to fishing and outdoor recreation through casting, knot tying, local fish identification, conservation, and environmental awareness.
Students learn practical outdoor skills while developing a greater appreciation for our local waterways, wildlife, and the importance of protecting the places we enjoy.
Safety First: No fishing hooks or lead weights are used during school based activities. Pipe cleaners and lightweight foam balls are used to safely simulate hooks and weights while students learn and practice.

GoGo Fishing
Fish After School is a hands on introduction to fishing and outdoor recreation, offered once a week for 1 to 1.5 hours, with all necessary equipment provided. Students learn fishing terminology, casting techniques, basic knots and rigs, local fish species, and discover nearby parks and waterways where they can enjoy fishing with their families.
Classes also include fun fishing themed games and activities while teaching students how to protect our waterways, respect wildlife, and care for our local ecosystem.
Take It to the Water: Schools and families can also add an optional local fishing expedition, giving students the opportunity to take what they have learned in class and experience real fishing alongside their families and instructors.
Safety First: No traditional hooks or lead weights are used during school based activities. Pipe cleaners and lightweight foam balls are used for safe practice.Hooked on possibly Fishing?
